Numerical Control Machining Factory is the key Factory
of Hongdu Aviation, currently having 270 staff, among whom there are
40 professionals including one senior engineer with master degree,
3 senior engineers and 13 engineers. Among the site workers, 80% of
them have diplomas above post-secondary education. With large production
capacity and high technique level, the Factory is capable of manufacturing
complicated spare parts for all kinds of aircraft.
At present, Numerical Control Machining Factory has 22
sets of numerical control equipment of different kinds, including
3 sets of 5-cordinate numerical control milling machines, 1 set of
numerical control knife grinding machine, 1  set
of 3-cordinate numerical control metering machine, and the rest 3-cordinate
numerical control milling machines. Among the 22 sets of equipment,
there are ten sets bought after 1999, including knife grinding machine,
metering machine and 7 sets of fabrication centers.
Numerical Control Machining Factory has 6 sets of graphic
work stations, each for every two programmers. Because of network
among the computers in the office and the numerical control machines,
the graphic files can pass through FDDI directly the computer centers
for the programmers to use and the fabrication programs finished and
saved in the server by the programmers can be through the LAN transferred
by the operators upon demand easily and conveniently.
Numerical Control Machining Factory is capable of manufacturing
Machining spare parts and units for all kinds of structured
aircraft and undertaking research & test work for all kinds of
new aviation products.
At the time finishing our own manufacturing work, Numerical Control
Machining Factory is also developing the foreign market
and undertakes foreign assistant fabrication business. For example,
we have produced for Boeing Co. more than 40 items of spare parts
and units such as trailing edge rib and edge strip, and produced the
ground test cabin for our astronauts. The Factory has cooperated with
several local research organs and institutes to finish tens of development
and production items of numerical control machine's spare parts and
units for the new aviation and space products.
The main equipment available and characteristics:
1. 5-cordinate numerical control gantry milling machines: produced
by cooperation between China Aviation Processes Research Institute
and France, delivered in 1997. A-B oscillation angle, A+(-)30。, B+-30。,
angle: 7000X2000X500.
2. 5-cordinate horizontal numerical control fabrication center: produced
by Italian MANDELLI Co.,, delivered in 2000, A oscillation angle,
B turn-plate, A+105。-95。, B 360。, angle: 2800X200X2200.
3. Numerical knife grinding machine: produced by Switzerland SCHNEEBERGER,
delivered in 1999, angle: 360X250X250, A 360。, B 340。.
4. 3-cordinate numerical metering machine: produced by Qingdao Qianshao
Machine Tools Factory, delivered in 2001, angle: 2500X1000X900.

After completing the above said modification items, Numerical Control
Machining Factory will increase greatly in the capacity
of processing & manufacturing and production.
