On the morning of September 14 th , 2004, a K8 aircraft which was modified took off by a pilot. After 15 minutes' flight, the aircraft made a safe landing. The multifunction display system and other equipment on the aircraft went on well. The modified aircraft successfully finished its flight task. This indicated that the first flight of K8 aircraft modified with homemade multifunction display system was successfully. So there was another new version in the K8 aircraft series again.

About at 10:25 on the morning of May 2 nd ,2004, Huang J ǘ， the member of Politic Bureau of Central standing Committee, Vice-prime Minister of Chinese Communist Party; Mr. Zheng Silin, Director of Labor Protecting Department; Mr. Li Yizhong, Secretary of Communist Party & Director of National Financial Committee; Mr. Liu Mingkuang, Chairman of Board of Supervisors for banks; Mr. Zhang Guobao, Vice-director of Development and Innovation Committee; Mr. Youquan, Vice-secretary of State Department; Xiaojie, Vice-director of Financial Department; Hou Yunchun, Vice-director of Political Study Office of State Department; Mr. Dong Li, Director of Economic Censor Committee, all of them companied by some provincial and municipal leaders, such as, Mr. Meng Jianzhu, Secretary of Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee ; Mr. Huang Zhiquan, Governor of Jiangxi Province and Mr. Liang Zhenhe, Vice-general manager of China Aviation Industry Corporation II ,to paid an inspect visit to Hongdu Aviation Industry Group and sent their greetings to the workers who sticked to their positions during the vocation.

On April 2, 2004, our company held the forth meeting of the second board of directors.

On February 10,2004, Wang Yong, Vice- secretary of Nanchang Party Committee, paid a visit to Hongdu Aviation. He organized the coordination meeting about made the subcontract production program of MD helicopters. The leaders of Economic Trade Committee, Nanchang custom, Nanchang Inspection & Quarantine Bureau and some other related departments of Nanchang city took part in the meeting.

On February 8, 2004, our company held the third temporary meeting of the second board of directors. The meeting passed the proposal of changing our company's general manager. According to the decision made by China Aviation Industry Group II ， Mr. Wu Fanghui was transferred to another post as General Manager of Hongdu Aviation Industryl Group Co., Ltd instead of his original position of General Manager of Hongdu Aviation Industry Co., Ltd. Mr. Wu Fanghui had handed in his resignation to the BOD on Feb.2 nd ,2004. The BOD gave praise on his contributions during his incumbency and agreed to his resignation. The new General Manager of our company is Mr. Chen Wenhao who was nominated by the president of BOD.

On January 14, 2004, Wang Jun, Vice- secretary of Jiangxi Province Party Committee, made a visit to our company with accompany of leads of Provincial Technology Bureau. He represented Jiangxi Party committee and Jiangxi government to send greetings to Mr.Shi Ping, an academician of China Engineering Institute, and at the same time, paid a new year call and gave some pension.

On January 5, 2004, the China Engineering Institute held the news conference in Beijing and announced list of 58 academicians elected in 2003. The General Designer of Hongdu K8 aircraft ---Mr.Shi Ping was on the list.
